Thanks for caring

I don’t know the names of most of the people that were on shift and saved my life but every May 5th, and many times throughout each year, I think of you with extreme gratitude.
May 5 2021, at 42 years old, and with no prior medical issues, I suffered an acute stroke. Due to the quick response of Emergency Services in Canmore, and my immediate transfer and care at Foothills, I had a stent inserted in my carotid artery that saved my life. I spent 4 days in Foothills with the amazing staff in both the ICU and Stroke ward. Later that year I was back to hiking, biking and skiing. But I never forget!
