My 90 year old mother, who has dementia, was admitted to Emerg suffering from a stomach ailment. She was, understandably, confused and frustrated by the situation and all the more so when she laid in her bed for hours without any interventions apart from checking her vitals. The nurses on staff, while very busy, seemed to have little interest in her well being. That is until Donna arrived on shift at which time the care and attention one would expect appeared. She was attentive, professional, compassionate and knowledgeable and was able to offer information about when a doctor might be able to see mom. In short, she renewed my faith in our health care system. Thank you Donna!
