On the evening of May 31, 2026, I was transported to Grey Nuns ER by ambulance. I had lost consciousness as a result of 2 pulmonary embolisms following prostate surgery. All together, I received 45 minutes of CPR and defib. My brain function was not impacted as far as I can tell. The quick action of the EMTs and ER staff saved my life. My family was treated with such compassion and kindness we are so very grateful.
