I'm writing to thank Dr Larue, Dr Shen, Nurse Bonnie and the rest of the nursing team in the palliative care unit at Fort Saskatchewan Community Hospital. They recently cared for my grandmother in hospital before she entered hospice, and my entire family was moved and comforted by the care, dignity, and respect the team offered my grandmother. It's been a very difficult time and it was very meaningful to us to have my grandmother's wishes respected and to have her continued to be treated as a distinct person with autonomy and perspective upon her own life. It's a level of care and kindness I wish for everyone. Thank you so much.
