Thank you to the incredible team who cared for my partner, Michael, during his recent heart attack. Michael walked into the ER alone while actively having a heart attack. A nurse immediately recognized what was happening and took action. Because of the skill, expertise, teamwork, and compassion of so many healthcare professionals, he was stabilized, transported to the University of Alberta Hospital for a stent procedure, and returned to St. Albert's ICU all in the same day. Today, Michael is here because of you. Thank you for not only saving his life, but for caring for him, and for us, with kindness, dignity, and compassion. We will never forget what you did for our family.
