I live with severe anxiety and depression. When I came to rockyview was so scared. I can't wear a mask because of my ptsd and have had some bad experiences through covid because of it. When I apologized for not being able to wear a mask they made me feel so much better. Until I was told my fiance might not be able to stay with me. In triage the nurse worked with me to calm my breathing and then went to the Area A triage nurse to give them a heads up. At every step and every interaction the staff made me feel safe and comfortable. They let my fiance stay and never once did I feel less than or like an inconvenience. My mental illness was treated with respect and care and I am so grateful.
