Our son Connor has epilepsy and one of his biggest seizure triggers is his severe needle phobia. I was told about the low stimulation clinic and booked him in at the Strathcona clinic. The nurse who performed his vaccinations was EXCEPTIONAL and walked Connor through every single step she was taking, supported him in doing whatever he needed to do for his comfort (headphones, a cot for him to lay down on, stuffed toy,) and made sure he was comfortable after. This was the FIRST time he hasn't seized while getting vaccines and I am so very grateful to her. He has to go back for 2 more doses but I truly believe she gave him confidence needed to go back and know he can do it. Thank you!!
